*Although the motor on the GLA-S may provide sufficient torque to exceed 2300N of force we do not recommend (and cannot cover) operation at loads above this maximum rating as they may damage the actuator.

The
GLA-S
is a high-powered version of our GLA750 actuator with a 'speed 550' size motor in place of the standard 25W model (all other construction is the same).Either a 12V DC or 18V DC nominal voltage motor is available (which may be run at higher or lower voltages with changed operating characteristics, as with any PM-DC motor). Please see the operating characteristics column, below left, for more information.

Disconnected It is recommended that an external travel-limiting circuit is fitted between the actuator and power source, to prevent damage by running the actuator into the physical end points, stalling the motor. The internal limit switch circuit found in the GLA750 model has been disconnected as it is rated for too small a current to handle the large operating power of the HRS550 motor |

This actuator model has a relatively fast extension/retraction speed and it is advised that circuit protection (e.g. an external limit switch circuit and/or current limiting) is in place to prevent jamming the actuator at the far ends of travel and stalling the actuator motor.
