Diaries of Builds and Project Ideas


	Instructables One of the best known creative websites on the net where people share their build diaries of everything from dog kennels to glow-in-the-dark bikes. Many of the builds are detailed in a step-by-step manner making it easy to try them for yourself.
	Let's Make Robots Similar to Instructables in that it allows users to post projects and provide updates throughout their development, only it's focused on robotics, especially autonomous vehicles.
	Make: Projects This is the section of the Make Magazine website listing build ideas with everything from CNC machines to fancy dress costumes. Some of the website (mainly magazine content) may be behind a pay-wall.
	EE Web Website with numerous electrical engineering themed projects and an active community of electrical enthusiasts and professionals.

	Roymech An encyclopedic resource for engineers and hobbyists with information on everything from material fatigue properties to welding joint calculations.
	Paul Hill's Robot Guide A relatively old and yet essentially timeless source of information for those interested in DC motors, speed controllers and related circuits.
	Society of Robots An up-to-date profile of components used in robots of all kinds, includes a useful parts/suppliers list and forum.
	Roborealm Features many tutorials and useful software for intelligent robots who respond to their surroundings.

Forums and Societies

Relating to Engineering, Remote Control and Robotics hobbyists


	Endless Sphere International electric vehicle forum where hundreds of people discuss ideas and post diaries of their builds.
	Fighting Robot Association UK based group continuing the sport of robot combat in the UK after the demise of Robot Wars. Very active forum which covers many topics beyond robots specifically.
	Robot Fighting League US Counterpart to the UK's FRA (see above detail).
	Robowars Australian combat robot community website and forum
	RC Groups Claims to be the 'most active RC community on the internet', plenty of discussion and information available for both remote control hobbyists and related disciplines.
